talking like trump.

If hyperbole is exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally--why are they being taken literally?

The  use of insulting descriptions as if they were acceptable adjectives has made the idea of insulting people routinely (it's sort of normal up through teens, though smarter teens and more well behaved teens have usually given that up by 12) seem like acceptable presidential behavior.

And when bragging about himself, sounding so much like a positive spin for everything about himself,  while trash-talking everyone that doesn't agree with him or want to join his band of merry men, he is re-creating the perfect middle school "popular guy (or girl) conditions in which it is "us" (defined as cool and who everyone wants to be) and "them" (the losers, outsiders, misfits, and wannabees).

And-- after acting like that the entire campaign, acting like that daily from the Oval Office, (and the royal toilet)  his followers, hangers-on and sadly, an entire political party are falling in line and accepting where we are going with communication in this country.

(a great link, as some of us don't twitter at all so don't see it as it happens; and they have saved every one of the little jewels of wisdom--his twitter will not soon be replacing Benjamin Franklin, Cicero, Thich Nhat Hanh.)

May 29, 2018 06:09:32 AM - Why aren’t the 13 Angry and heavily conflicted Democrats investigating the totally Crooked Campaign of totally Crooked Hillary Clinton. It’s a Rigged Witch Hunt, that’s why! Ask them if they enjoyed her after election celebration!
(really? he is president, he won, and while I was not a fan of either Clinton, this late in the game, this is pure deflection)

May 28, 2018 04:53:56 PM - California has a rare opportunity to turn things around and solve its high crime, high tax, problems - along with so many others. On June 5th., vote for GOP Gubernatorial Candidate JOHN COX, a really good and highly competent man. He’ll Make California Great Again!
https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/california  (really, just a little reality would be good- California is not number one but far from 51st in anything)

Check the above link to see why certain states are taking the brunt of Trumps  insults while those that voted for him, even as they set at the bottom of the barrel on all rankings, are getting to send their politicians out as Trumps emissaries of power.

May 17, 2018 08:52:44 AM - Despite the disgusting, illegal and unwarranted Witch Hunt, we have had the most successful first 17 month Administration in U.S. history - by far! Sorry to the Fake News Media and “Haters,” but that’s the way it is!

May 14, 2018 03:46:25 PM - The so-called leaks coming out of the White House are a massive over exaggeration put out by the Fake News Media in order to make us look as bad as possible. With that being said, leakers are traitors and cowards, and we will find out who they are!

Personal Superlatives

  1. "My I.Q. is one of the highest - and you all know it!"
  2. "I will be the best by far in fighting terror"
  3. "I will be the greatest job-producing president in American history"
  4. "I am the BEST builder, just look at what I've built"
  5. "I am the best builder but if that were my building with the crane mishap..."
  6. "I am attracting the biggest crowds, by far, and the best poll numbers, also by far."
  7. "I am least racist person there is"
  8. "I am in Las Vegas, at the best hotel (by far), Trump International"
  9. "I am at Trump National Doral-best resort in U.S."
  10. "Donald Trump's Palm Beach mansion...which I turned into the greatest club in the world"
  11. "Many people have commented that my fragrance, “Success” is the best scent & lasts the longest"
  12. "Many people have said I’m the world’s greatest writer of 140 character sentences."
  13. "Many are saying I'm the best 140 character writer in the world"

So, perhaps it is not hyperbole.
Perhaps it is not straight up lying.
Perhaps, instead of voting for a leader, we voted for a marketer, a brand-maker, a big-talker.
Is that what living in the 21st century is down to?
We don't need to fix anything, just spin it so that those that aren't very bright buy the new shiny reality.

My mother loved the "paid too much for your whistle" line.
I hope we haven't traded our freedom for a sack of magic beans so that we can pretend that a wealthy, insulting, real estate deal maker has our backs.
He expects loyalty and will destroy those that don't give it if he can.
I've seen no evidence of his own loyalty to his followers.

Please don't ever let us put another 12 year old in charge of the third largest population in the world.

Since the followers, all 26% of eligible voters, remain loyal, only following twitter and Fox news for their information  about the government, we can assume that if we actually have ANYONE else to vote for and GO OUT AND VOTE, we will only have 2 more years of this "through the looking glass" reality to deal with.

I'm betting that in April next year, when the masses don't get their huge tax break, some eyes will start opening.

Till then:
  • Talk bigley!
  • Call disagree-ers stupid, they deserve it.
  • Remember, we like winners not losers.
  • If someone is threatening to blast you with their gun, call them an emasculating name and dare them to make you pull out your bigger, better gun.

Now, find out when your next opportunity to vote will arrive, read about the candidates, and don't skip the next presidential election.  If you don't like one more than you don't like another, VOTE, and if you want to vote for someone that everyone says will be a throw away vote, VOTE, and if you want to write in someone that isn't on your state's ballot, write it in.
Make your opinion known.
Make your vote be heard.
Don't let 53% of the population that can vote, make this decision for you ever again.

Get informed.
Get involved.
Care about something.
And quit watching reality TV.
